In addition to assisting with the research process, Portfolio Managers (PMs) are responsible for leading a team of analysts. Each team presents a new idea in front of the entire club at least once per semester. PMs typically have a strong background in equity research, valuation, and the principles of value investing. They help originate potentially attractive investment ideas and lead research and valuation efforts. PMs also participate in the voting process on a rotating basis when IC members present ideas. PMs are also involved in recruiting and educating new analysts as well as developing mentorship and educational initiatives for the club.
